Mission

I am passionate about helping those in chronic pain, having suffered from severe and chronic migraines myself. Clinical massage, and trigger point therapy in particular, helped me take control of my condition and regain my quality of life.

I offer a bespoke, targeted and results-driven massage experience, designed to help you rehabilitate from chronic pain and regain your zest for life, whether that be participation in a sport you love or being able to play with the grandchildren or to go about your daily activities with fewer restrictions and less pain.

Increased mobility, better movement choices and reduction in pain are my goals for you, with results seen in 1-6 sessions.

Testimonials

Sarah is epic on the healing front....EPIC!

I couldn't sit down for almost 2 weeks due to severe back pain but following one session with Sarah I could sit for hours, and could still sit in comfort days later. I particularly appreciated the self-care exercises she gave me and I've continued with these with great results.

I've seen Sarah for a variety of issues - severe disc problems and Achilles tendon issues mainly. Each time I see her I'm impressed with her level of knowledge and how thorough she is.

Never disappoints and always makes me feel and move so much better. Back in full training now and couldn't be more pleased.

Feel so happy to have found Sarah. I used to have very regular migraines and was having to miss work at times. I was worried that my job was at risk but after a course of treatment the migraines have disappeared. And if I do feel some tension building up I know what to do - the self-care I was taught really does seem to keep them at bay. So thankful that migraine no longer rules my life.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions, Answered

Home: FAQ

How should I prepare for my first treatment?

Prior to your first appointment a thorough consultation is required, including a medical history and any other information that may shed light on the cause(s) of your pain. Apart from that there is no special preparation other than what you might do for any other treatment. It is suggested that when booking your appointment you factor in a little time to relax afterwards for a few minutes, rather than rushing off.

What should I expect from my first session?

Clinical massage can encompass so many techniques and some of them will feel very familiar. The most commented upon difference I hear from clients is the lightness of touch at times, and the very targeted and very thorough approach. There is also a need for you to give feedback during the session on the sensations you are feeling as the massage progresses, which helps determine what technique(s) works best for you and where the main issue might lie. But the treatment is also very relaxing at times, so don't be surprised if you also have a little snooze while on the couch.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends very much on your condition and how long it has been present. It's also possible that some work can be done by yourself, either by increasing your current exercise habits, or performing the stretches and rehabilitation exercises that you may be given, thereby super-charging your results. It's also worth noting that, if poor postural habits have contributed to your pain patterns, then addressing these will be important, and it can take time to unlearn these. But you can get there!
